When Inácio Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Bezerros EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Furtado couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Alex Arantes made a precise shot to the right of Telmo Tande. ✞✞ POMMERISH KIND F.C. ✞✞'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Agnaldo Linares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo Tande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After the first half Bezerros EC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilton Valladares to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes ✞✞ POMMERISH KIND F.C. ✞✞ got a freekick which was hit by Juan Baiano. The long shot by Kléber Paiva in the 52nd minute really tested Telmo Tande's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luiz Fernando Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Valladares in the 57th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Bezerros EC's corner Kléber Paiva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Telmo Tande quite easily take care of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Telmo Tande successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 87th minute, Bezerros EC's Alberto Guedes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4.
