The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Atlético Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauan Botelho got free with Mauro Barreto in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Nascimento in the 9th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Basarab Marincean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauan Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Wiliam Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Barreto. Nova Venécia-ES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wiliam Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 24th minute of the match, Cauan Botelho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mauro Barreto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mauro Barreto came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Capixaba's Wiliam Perez. But to his dismay, Wiliam Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Baltazar Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Barreto having to interfere. Basarab Marincean came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Venécia-ES's Natã Quintal. But to his dismay, Natã Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 41 minutes into the game, Vítor-Borba Xerifão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Capixaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Venécia-ES the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Atlético Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor-Borba Xerifão to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Vitório Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Basarab Marincean. Atlético Capixaba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Lendaa in the 47th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Basarab Marincean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Wiliam Perez made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Wiliam Perez put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro Barreto. Mauro Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Fesik in the 69th minute of the match. Basarab Marincean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davi Lendaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Botelho in the 74th minute of play. Tzonyo Moskovski hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Atlético Capixaba's Basarab Marincean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Diniz in the 76th minute of play. Basarab Marincean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Mauro Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Fesik in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Otto Fesik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Capixaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. In the 93rd minute Ace Spade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Marincean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Vitório Nascimento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basarab Marincean, 5-3. In the 96th minute, Vítor-Borba Xerifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nova Venécia-ES's Valdo Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Valdo Diniz could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Basarab Marincean however easily saved by the left post. Atlético Capixaba were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Nova Venécia-ES for a fine match.
