Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. Gervasio Ixaka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy's Siricio Liotta got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vipos FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Ixaka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match Italy got a corner. Vipos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vipos FC's Gervasio Ixaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Vipos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Gervasio Ixaka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vipos FC's Gervasio Ixaka. Zaccheo Andolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Ixaka having to interfere. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sostene Vitulli hit a great ball. After the first half Italy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidel Jokin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vipos FC's Gervasio Ixaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Pascual Tadzio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 61st minute of the game Pascual Tadzio made a throw-in which Zeledon Barbosa played forward. Viggo Bengtsson's late challenge caught a Italy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viggo Bengtsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Vipos FC got a freekick which was hit by Viggo Bengtsson. After having played for 82 minutes, Siricio Liotta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siricio Liotta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Miguel Castanheira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Acuña during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Vipos FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Acuña. Italy's attentive Siricio Liotta managed to snatch the ball when Pascual Tadzio made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute of the match Italy got a corner. Vipos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siricio Liotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Italy's Siricio Liotta to fire away a dangerous shot which Gervasio Ixaka despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Italy's Zena Busacca got a free kick in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Italy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
