Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Netherlands's Lars Meesters looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 32nd minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Czapski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Wittbach SSA defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grzegorz Czapski. The Wittbach SSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grzegorz Czapski should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes Wittbach SSA got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Bentkowski. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grzegorz Motowski was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Aarre Rautee came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcin Mentis in the 56th minute of play. Aarre Rautee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, David Eikelkamp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. Grzegorz Czapski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grzegorz Motowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Mentis came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aarre Rautee went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-5 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
