Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mindaugas Karalius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ottoman TurK's goalkeeper Mindaugas Karalius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albano Fonda. Martin Plante in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tommy Kahn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 32nd minute, Teobald Kondysar made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
