Philip Boffin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Boffin was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 46th match minute, The Original Wonderteam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Slegers to maneuver through the defense. Julien Moons hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. Portugal's Caetano Moreira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Karl Slegers in the 51 minute of the game. In the 56th minute, Karl Slegers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Boffin made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Philip Boffin in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alek Candries had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alek Candries in the 61st minute of play. Philip Boffin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Karl Slegers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alek Candries took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The Original Wonderteam made a substitution. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Original Wonderteam.
