The corner led Izaltina FAD's Neymar Santos to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernandinho Pombal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Renatinho Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legion of Boom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Izaltina FAD the free kick. Renatinho Soeiro hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Izaltina FAD's Neymar Santos in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Diguinho Mendonça's late challenge caught a Legion of Boom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diguinho Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Izaltina FAD got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Mendonça. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisito Suárez got free with Rony de Medeiros in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Neymar Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernandinho Pombal was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Edorta Quintas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izaltina FAD's Rony de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Izaltina FAD from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Vargas came free, but Rony de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Legion of Boom's goal looked a bit too open when Gabríel Cristofor came free, but Fernandinho Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Rony de Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neymar Santos in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandinho Pombal saved Legion of Boom from getting behind. Neymar Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute, Neymar Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Alexis Mac Allister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legion of Boom's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexis Mac Allister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rony de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexis Mac Allister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After having played for 57 minutes, Gabríel Cristofor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izaltina FAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabríel Cristofor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernandinho Pombal made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Gabríel Cristofor sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's Gabríel Cristofor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernandinho Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alessandro Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match.
