Adolfo Carrizo came out of the goal and Jude Monkhouse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Carrizo had great luck who in the 15thth minute grab hold of the ball when Anderson Paiva from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Anderson Paiva sped through FC Žalia Giria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adolfo Carrizo. Jude Monkhouse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Eusko. FC Žalia Giria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saúl Gentiletti in the 23rd minute. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Eusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saúl Gentiletti in the 28th minute of play. FC Žalia Giria's Adolfo Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jude Monkhouse in the 31st minute of play. Hikmet Lebib kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jude Monkhouse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Adolfo Carrizo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Jude Monkhouse suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Onur Ali Semi's late challenge caught a Várzea F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Onur Ali Semi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Žalia Giria's Onur Ali Semi got a free kick in the 44th minute. FC Žalia Giria's Adolfo Carrizo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save FC Žalia Giria from getting a goal against them. In the 47thth minute of the game Vaidas Maciulevičius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saúl Gentiletti to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Dé Montenegro made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Žalia Giria's Adolfo Carrizo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, FC Žalia Giria's Carlos Augusto Quintal threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vaidas Maciulevičius, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee felt a red card was in order, 60 minutes into the game, when Avram Lupoaia put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of FC Žalia Giria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Várzea F.C.:s goal. 64 minutes into the match, Anderson Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolfo Carrizo. FC Žalia Giria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anderson Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Vaidas Maciulevičius hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé Montenegro in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Carrizo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Montenegro in the 69th minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Adolfo Carrizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Paiva came free, but Adolfo Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Alcântara in the 73rd minute of play. After 79 played minutes FC Žalia Giria got a freekick which was hit by Vaidas Maciulevičius. Carlos Augusto Quintal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 86th minute. Adolfo Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Montenegro in the 92nd minute of the match. Adolfo Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Várzea F.C. fully deserved thier win.
