The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Djalma Santos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Casa Real de Savóia F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Djalma Santos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s Santo Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Arotza in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Casa Real de Savóia F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Lisandro Hodei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santo Marcos. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santo Marcos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximo Lico to strike the kick off in the second half. Clóvis Toledo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s zone, Lisandro Hodei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Marcos came out of the goal and Lisandro Hodei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Wilian Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Lico came free, but Santo Marcos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Maximo Lico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Monte Hermoso Beach booed when Casa Real de Savóia F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Lico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Monte Hermoso Beach's Santo Marcos threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximo Lico, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the last second Santo Marcos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Maximo Lico in the 83rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Monte Hermoso Beach's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lisandro Hodei in the 85th minute. A nice corner shot did that Lisandro Hodei got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santo Marcos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Erubiel Bilintx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santo Marcos having to make a save. Benjamin Arotza struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Santo Marcos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Hermoso Beach.
