If Jairo Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Marcos having to interfere. Santo Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo Marcos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Queirós in the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Casa Real de Savóia F.C. booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Faria in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Marcos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vítor Sousa made a great header on SORRISO E. C.'s corner, it was just that Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s Santo Marcos managed to reach the ball for a save. Cássio Borges blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santo Marcos having to make a save. If Joaquim Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joaquim Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Santo Marcos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.'s zone, Clóvis Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo Leal came out of the goal and Clóvis Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Frederico Amorim put in a rough tackle. When the final whistle sounded SORRISO E. C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Casa Real de Savóia F.C..
