Artur Branco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcinho Pernambucano having to make a save. Moisés Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Vágner Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Júlio Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Pernambucano having to interfere. After 16 minutes of play Braga Junior FC's Vágner Gaúcho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Vágner Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Joaquim Queirós sped through Braga Junior FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcinho Pernambucano. Artur Branco hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Samuel Paraíba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvaldo Leal was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The tension between the Braga Junior FC and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Braga Junior FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Braga. Marcinho Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Júlio Faria fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Júlio Faria a yellow card for diving instead. Júlio Faria hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Reginaldo de Brito came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo de Brito couldn't finish the play. Jairo Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Joaquim Queirós put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Marcinho Pernambucano. After the first half SORRISO E. C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When %teams%'s Artur Branco was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-3 just inside the left pole, 51 minutes into the game. Marcinho Pernambucano was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. 54 minutes into the match, Reginaldo de Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcinho Pernambucano. Braga Junior FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reginaldo de Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Marcinho Pernambucano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as SORRISO E. C.'s Júlio Faria slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcinho Pernambucano. That made the score 0-5 after 61 minutes of play. Marcinho Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júlio Faria in the 65th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Branco in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Pernambucano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Paiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Braga Junior FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SORRISO E. C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Braga Junior FC's Ricardinho Paiva got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, SORRISO E. C.'s Joaquim Queirós dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. 83 minutes into the match, Joaquim Queirós dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcinho Pernambucano, 0-7. In the 89th minute, Júlio Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcinho Pernambucano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. When the match was over SORRISO E. C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Braga Junior FC throughout the match.
