Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Bezerra in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Granata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Schuster's attentive Filiberto Paternina managed to snatch the ball when Enzo Guerrieri made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. When Mauro Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Schuster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Bezerra couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Mauro Bezerra sped through A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristiano Granata. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dino Palmisano to make the kick off.
