Cezary Duda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gabriel Ascaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Spain's Gabriel Ascaso got control of the ball when Alvise Di Crescenzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Nafarroa in the 27th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jon Cubero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmund Konopka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Cubero, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Alvise Di Crescenzo in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Spain were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
