The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Agustín Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atacan Rahim in the 4th minute. Jerônimo da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Elite™- FC Galácticos got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Seco. Jerônimo da Cunha came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Frontera AFC's Rodrigo Palacio. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Palacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Frontera AFC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Frontera AFC's Silvestre Cisco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 19th minute of the match, Luiz Paulo Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Agustín Rossi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atacan Rahim, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Atacan Rahim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 25th minute of play forced Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Jerônimo da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Atacan Rahim came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Elite™- FC Galácticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atacan Rahim couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute Atacan Rahim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute Elite™- FC Galácticos were awarded a corner. Nikos Kladogennis went to the cornerflag to take it. Luiz Paulo Seco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atacan Rahim in the 37th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Palacio in the 39th minute of play forced Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Jerônimo da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atacan Rahim. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Cisco to make the kick off. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Kladogennis in the 53rd minute of play. Agustín Rossi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atacan Rahim went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Frontera AFC's Gonzalo Pacifico was substituted for Celso Betadur. In the 63rd minute Nikos Kladogennis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Frontera AFC booed when Elite™- FC Galácticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Kladogennis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Vale came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Rola in the 75th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Gino Monteiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agustín Rossi. Frontera AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gino Monteiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 78thth minute of the game Gino Monteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 85th minute of play forced Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Jerônimo da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Gino Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Décio Rola, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the match, Gino Monteiro notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi. Agustín Rossi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
Elite™- FC Galácticos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
