Pastor Ihazintu started the match with the kick off. Eugenio Santoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Koh, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 8th minute Asiz Rajah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Oakham's goalkeeper Bryan Hui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cezary Tusk. Eugenio Santoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bryan Hui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Oakham getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bineesh Soon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Koh in the 43rd minute of play forced Urbs LC's goalkeeper Eugenio Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asiz Rajah was the one to do the kick off. In the 89th minute Ennio Di Marzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Hui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Cezary Tusk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bryan Hui. Oakham's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cezary Tusk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Oakham players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Urbs LC.
