The supporters of Celta de Virgos booed when Loco De Remate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerrold Barzana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Aires came free, but Zacarias Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Aires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celta de Virgos were furious when Dündar Aynacıoğlu was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Dündar Aynacıoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Roberto Mouzo in the 28th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Zacarias Ascencio's left hand side. The audience was convinced that Hıdır Namal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarias Ascencio was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rene Aires in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Ascencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's goal looked a bit too open when Benny Niva came free, but Walmir Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benny Niva took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walmir Catarinense. Walmir Catarinense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rene Aires struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Zacarias Ascencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loco De Remate. Celta de Virgos's Zacarias Ascencio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Celta de Virgos from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, Roberto Mouzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Aires came free, but Zacarias Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Zacarias Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hıdır Namal in the 52nd minute of the match. Zacarias Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Nisio, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 61st minute, Roberto Mouzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Loco De Remate got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Mouzo. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Astudillo got free with Walmir Catarinense in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute Hıdır Namal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loco De Remate's Baškim Sumulikovski was substituted for Bruno Medero. After a rather tough play, Loco De Remate's Jerrold Barzana got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Loco De Remate booed when Celta de Virgos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
