In the 7th minute Herman Bergström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Judas Verón's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Kelemen was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Herman Bergström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mazaredo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Herman Bergström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Raggio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Judas Verón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Kelemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Judas Verón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Victorino Kelemen made a huge save. Belgrano de Pibasog's Blue Dolar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victorino Kelemen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mazaredo AFC's goalkeeper Victorino Kelemen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Judas Verón recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victorino Kelemen. Judas Verón showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Judas Verón kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victorino Kelemen. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. The throw-in from Edgard Bero in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgrano de Pibasog's Clemente Gaizkine. Mazaredo AFC's Victorino Kelemen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Mazaredo AFC from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Senio came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Mazaredo AFC's goalkeeper Victorino Kelemen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Judas Verón. If Judas Verón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victorino Kelemen made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Judas Verón sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute of the match Belgrano de Pibasog got a corner. Mazaredo AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Blue Dolar ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Blue Dolar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Victorino Kelemen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mazaredo AFC's Victorino Kelemen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Mazaredo AFC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Judas Verón in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Kelemen prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herman Bergström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Senio came free, but Bernardo Raggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victorino Kelemen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Judas Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Mazaredo AFC's Edgard Bero got a free kick in the 54th minute. Victorino Kelemen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judas Verón, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Judas Verón notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mazaredo AFC's Victorino Kelemen. Victorino Kelemen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Belgrano de Pibasog made a substitution. Melquiades Henrico replaced Marcel Mavrodin. Judas Verón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Kelemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Edgard Bero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mariano Videl fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mazaredo AFC's protests and gave Mariano Videl a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mazaredo AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Mariano Videl hit a great ball. Mazaredo AFC made a substitution. Vicente Jurgi replaced Uriel Roderigo. Edgard Bero hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Mazaredo AFC's Victorino Kelemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Judas Verón in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mazaredo AFC's goalkeeper Victorino Kelemen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgard Bero hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Mazaredo AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
