Antônio Carlos Bueno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arlindo Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pombal who took care of the corner kick. 16 minutes into the match, Hegedus Henrik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Guedes. AF CERRADO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hegedus Henrik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 19th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Toninho Moreira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Takacs Tibor scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arlindo Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Antal Valentin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arlindo Guedes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Bueno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antônio Carlos Bueno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Arlindo Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 41st minute of the match. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Carlos Bueno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Guedes having to interfere. Arlindo Guedes made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Hegedus Henrik sent off a good shot on target. After 55 minutes of play, Hungary's Major Barna made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arlindo Guedes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AF CERRADO's Elano Tande was substituted for Pedro Lopez. AF CERRADO's Felix Smits was substituted for Carlos Alberto Jacinto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 72nd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Murilo Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Arlindo Guedes made a huge save. 88 minutes into the match, Marcos Paulista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 94th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vörös Henrik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Carlos Bueno struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AF CERRADO. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hungary players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
