An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Pero in the 6th minute of play forced Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tirense F.C.'s Washington de Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Tirense F.C. from getting a goal against them. Belotaurus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonardo Gaúcho in the 12th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tirense F.C.'s goalie and right to Erivaldo Perez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tirense F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Angelo Urre fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belotaurus FC's protests and gave Angelo Urre a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Belotaurus FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Angelo Urre hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Pau Grosso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tirense F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belotaurus FC the free kick. The goalkeeper, Washington de Lara, was totally fooled by Belotaurus FC's Leonardo Gaúcho, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Washington de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Adrian Onbera's late challenge caught a Belotaurus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Onbera helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Onbera. In the 28th minute Tirense F.C. were awarded a corner. Hacı Demirdelen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hacı Demirdelen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis did a great save. Washington de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belotaurus FC's Leonardo Gaúcho was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Gaúcho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Washington de Lara was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Fanis Geronimidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Demirdelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Maraschin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Tirense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Vito Tasso. Washington de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Gaúcho in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Leonardo Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tirense F.C.'s Washington de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Gaúcho in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Washington de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute André Maraschin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Geronimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Leonardo Gaúcho notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Tirense F.C.'s Washington de Lara. Washington de Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Washington de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Gaúcho in the 64th minute of the match. Washington de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evren Yezid, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Doni Cordeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Washington de Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Dante Pero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Fanis Geronimidis made a huge save. Washington de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Washington de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Gaúcho in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute Leonardo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Maraschin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 89 minutes into the match, Belotaurus FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Maraschin came free, but Fanis Geronimidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tirense F.C.'s zone, Leonardo Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington de Lara came out of the goal and Leonardo Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 4-1 came in the 98th minute when Leonardo Gaúcho all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Washington de Lara.
Tirense F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
