With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Bruno Scibilia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramón Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 12th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, PomeziaRamblers's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Ramón Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metin Tekin in the 17th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Nils Øvstebø got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnout Reekers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 22nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, PomeziaRamblers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristoforo Toccaceli to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrea Tofani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Ramón Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. In the 52nd minute, Andrea Tofani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PomeziaRamblers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Ramón Abreu in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the PomeziaRamblers defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramón Abreu. The PomeziaRamblers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramón Abreu should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramón Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 67th minute, but Ramón Abreu got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving PomeziaRamblers hanging dry this time. In the 76th minute, Metin Tekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PomeziaRamblers made a substitution. Alfonso Iezzi replaced Nils Øvstebø. After a defensive mix-up in PomeziaRamblers's zone, David Eikelkamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramón Abreu came out of the goal and David Eikelkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by PomeziaRamblers's Andrea Tofani. But to his dismay, Andrea Tofani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 91st match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, PomeziaRamblers could leave the field as winners, despite Netherlands having more of the ball for most of the match.
