Gabriel Ascaso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radamel-Falcao García's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Olivier Ancel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. Vehdi Akçakoca hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Vehdi Akçakoca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spain the free kick. A collision led to E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Vehdi Akçakoca hit a great ball. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radamel-Falcao García in the 30th minute of the match. Lucas Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Ascaso was a little too slow when Radamel-Falcao García got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-1. After having played for 42 minutes, David Aranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Aranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Spain's Jonathan Criado got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the match had gone on for 50 minutes, Omar Toledo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Lucas Duarte to make any attempt to save it. 53 minutes into the match, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Adria Bielsa came free, but Lucas Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Olivier Ancel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If David Aranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radamel-Falcao García blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Ascaso having to make a save. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radamel-Falcao García in the 59th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel-Falcao García came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Vicente Merino scored to the left of an out of position Lucas Duarte, making the score, 1-3. After 76 played minutes E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® got a freekick which was hit by Mieszko Zajonc. Spain's Pau Herrero was substituted for David Aranda. In the 77th minute, Mieszko Zajonc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Lucas Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carles Cherro. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Cyprian Kowalski was substituted for Liu Feng Zhen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Ruiz in the 87th minute of play forced E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Lucas Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radamel-Falcao García in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Ascaso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Lucas Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pau Herrero in the 91st minute of play. Spain's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jon Cubero in the 96th minute. The corner ended in Jon Cubero almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Lucas Duarte did a great save. When the match was over Spain could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® throughout the match.
