Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. Laureano Coelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Sachs went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Laureano Coelho came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Paulo Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Laureano Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laureano Coelho. Nascente do Leça's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Sachs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 38th minute. Alípio Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Basílio Póvoas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nascente do Leça's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. Basílio Póvoas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nascente do Leça's goalkeeper Laureano Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Nascente do Leça players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Germany were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Germany's Frank Sachs made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laureano Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Laureano Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alípio Oliveira in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Stieler to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Frank Sachs took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Laureano Coelho to make any attempt to save it. Albin Holweck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laureano Coelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Albin Holweck slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 70th minute. Basílio Póvoas hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Paulo Arruda was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. 0-7 came through a penalty shot after 86 played minutes, when Germany:s Frank Sachs calmly waited for Nascente do Leça:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Germany played a much better game than Nascente do Leça and deserved their victory. The Nascente do Leça players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
