Hegedus Henrik might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laureano Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hegedus Henrik ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Hegedus Henrik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Hegedus Henrik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laureano Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 20th minute, Szekeres Tamas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 24th minute of play forced Nascente do Leça's goalkeeper Laureano Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antal Valentin in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laureano Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Major Barna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Coelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laureano Coelho. Laureano Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The supporters of Hungary booed when Nascente do Leça was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almiro Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alípio Oliveira made a kick off. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laureano Coelho. Laureano Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sérgio Barcelos fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nascente do Leça's protests and gave Sérgio Barcelos a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Nascente do Leça:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hungary:s goal. The goalkeeper, Laureano Coelho, was totally fooled by Hungary's Antal Valentin, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 66 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ademar Tinoco was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ademar Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Barcelos was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Coelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Hungary's Antal Valentin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laureano Coelho. Laureano Coelho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. Antal Valentin scored 0-10 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laureano Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laureano Coelho stood somewhat misplaced when Antal Valentin came free in front of goal and shot 0-11 to the left of him in the 97 minute. The Nascente do Leça fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
