If Ermengol Alberete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Socavon FC's Casper Claes threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ermengol Alberete, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 34th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sindo Porregimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermengol Alberete scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute Ermengol Alberete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Sindo Porregimon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Ermengol Alberete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Socavon FC booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Bonte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ermengol Alberete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Socavon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermengol Alberete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermengol Alberete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sindo Porregimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Socavon FC's Manilan Elizalde was substituted for Wiktor Dobilas. 70 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 93rd minute, Edward Vanderstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
