Germany were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. The corner ended in Frank Sachs almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's Omiros Ntounos did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanasis Vouzakis hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. With a little luck, ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's Omiros Ntounos got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Paris Georgiadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Paris Georgiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's supporters rose to their feet, but Paris Georgiadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
