Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredric Johnsson charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredric Johnsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Grönlands SK's Fredric Johnsson got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filip Pilberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Pilberg having to interfere. With 27 minutes on the clock, Bas Tuitert commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 28 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Bas Tuitert. Sven-Oskar Julin kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Stig-Åke Alkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Grönlands SK's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip Pilberg came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isac Hellsing made a kick off. Filip Pilberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute Felix Ekerot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isac Hellsing in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. After 54 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With a little luck, Grönlands SK's Filip Pilberg got control of the ball when David Eikelkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Grönlands SK booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredric Johnsson took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filip Pilberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st minute Fredric Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Filip Pilberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Pilberg made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 95 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Netherlands played a much better game than Grönlands SK and deserved their victory. The Grönlands SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
