Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvio Egun started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Bertram Svenningsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Denmark's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Sean Allison scored to the left of an out of position Keld Paulsen, making the score, 1-1. If Omar Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, Cuquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Haritzeder to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvio Egun. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hans-Cees Wortelboer was slow to take the kick. During this time Cuquero's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Romário Carioca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keld Paulsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Cambiasso was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dario Cambiasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Silvio Egun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Silvio Egun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Nygaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dario Cambiasso came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Chris Nygaard. But to his dismay, Chris Nygaard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Egun in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Silvio Egun notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute, Mikkel Wulff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Allison in the 71st minute of play. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Chris Nygaard sped through Cuquero's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dario Cambiasso. Silvio Egun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dario Cambiasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertram Svenningsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Cambiasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Romário Carioca in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Theis Winther. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Denmark walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
