Lavan Querubin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Quintyn having to interfere. Nunez Berasko struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Fabio Quintyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentino de Banfield. Florencio Ferran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Valentine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Alejo Orti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Argentino de Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Ferran came free, but Leonides Valentine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Argentino de Banfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ubaldo Kismi was slow to take the kick. During this time Húsares's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Castulo in the 30th minute of play forced Húsares's goalkeeper Fabio Quintyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Quintyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Rosalio in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Victorio Bemabe notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Húsares's Fabio Quintyn. Fabio Quintyn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Victorio Bemabe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Quintyn was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentino de Banfield's goalkeeper Leonides Valentine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorio Bemabe made a kick off. Húsares's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Ibon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 played minutes Húsares got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Pacorro. Raimundo Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teobaldo Ibon kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Argentino de Banfield eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
