Genaro Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Nadal in the 6th minute of play. Echegoyen AFC's Genaro Iraitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Echegoyen AFC from getting a goal against them. Echegoyen AFC's Genaro Iraitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Nadal in the 8th minute of play. Bonifacio Argider's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Echegoyen AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mauro Loureiro in the 12th minute. After 12 played minutes Echegoyen AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Argider. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Diego Armando Lamb sped through Echegoyen AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Genaro Iraitz. Juan Ignacio Vera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Genaro Iraitz made a huge save. 20 minutes into the match, Echegoyen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Armando Lamb came free, but Genaro Iraitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Echegoyen AFC's Genaro Iraitz got control of the ball when Edmundo Cañas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Genaro Iraitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Cañas in the 23rd minute. Genaro Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Nadal in the 27th minute of play. In the 34th minute Rafael Nadal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Iraitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Iraitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Diego Armando Lamb made the kick off in the second half. Rafael Nadal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Genaro Iraitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54thth minute of the game Diego Armando Lamb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Echegoyen AFC's Genaro Iraitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Algarrobo's Rafael Nadal made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Iraitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Algarrobo made a substitution. Wilfredo Marchetti replaced Rafael Nadal. 66 minutes into the match, Echegoyen AFC's Bonifacio Argider sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Chilavert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Genaro Iraitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilfredo Marchetti went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Algarrobo's zone, Gong Yang Xi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Chilavert came out of the goal and Gong Yang Xi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Armando Lamb in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genaro Iraitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmundo Cañas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute Juan Ignacio Vera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Iraitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Algarrobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Tomás Talamilla to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Edmundo Cañas put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Genaro Iraitz.
