Fabio Hesse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentino de Banfield. After having played for 5 minutes, Raimundo Castulo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentino de Banfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Castulo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nunez Berasko had several of the FC Stadtclub's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Fabio Hesse as he didn't even see the shot coming. Argentino de Banfield's Leonides Valentine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beat Hagenbuch in the 15th minute of play. When Michael Hottiger fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Stadtclub's protests and gave Michael Hottiger a yellow card for diving instead. FC Stadtclub's Fabio Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Berasko in the 18th minute of play. Leonides Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beat Hagenbuch in the 20th minute of play. The Argentino de Banfield fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Argentino de Banfield's Raimundo Castulo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 33rdth minute of the game Nunez Berasko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Stadtclub's Fabio Hesse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lavan Querubin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Fabio Hesse made a huge save. Argentino de Banfield were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after FC Stadtclub's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raimundo Castulo took the corner. In the 37th match minute, FC Stadtclub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romero Affolter to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Castulo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Fabio Hesse made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Berasko in the 46th minute of play forced FC Stadtclub's goalkeeper Fabio Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Castulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Hesse having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nunez Berasko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nunez Berasko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Fabio Hesse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Hesse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Berasko in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 53rd match minute, FC Stadtclub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beat Hagenbuch to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Hesse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lavan Querubin in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Stadtclub's goalkeeper Fabio Hesse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Argentino de Banfield got a corner. FC Stadtclub's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raimundo Castulo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Raimundo Castulo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Stadtclub's Fabio Hesse did a great save. A collision led to FC Stadtclub getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Matthias Vrijdags hit a great ball. With his leg Leonides Valentine managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when FC Stadtclub's Horatio Tobler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Raimundo Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Nunez Berasko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabio Hesse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Rosalio, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Fabio Hesse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lavan Querubin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Raimundo Castulo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Argentino de Banfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Castulo couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Argentino de Banfield players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
