The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Yavuz Bülent Akduman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kayserispor's supporters rose to their feet, but Yavuz Bülent Akduman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Quintyn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Kayserispor's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Ferran came free, but Doğan Alemdar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Quintyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spartak Ayala in the 15th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Húsares's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuz Bülent Akduman came free, but Fabio Quintyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maksymilian Wydrych had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Bülent Akduman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florencio Ferran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doğan Alemdar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Yavuz Bülent Akduman had several of the Húsares's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Fabio Quintyn as he didn't even see the shot coming. 36 minutes into the match, Húsares's goalkeeper Fabio Quintyn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yavuz Bülent Akduman. In the 38th minute, Yavuz Bülent Akduman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Josué Vargas hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

A collision led to Húsares getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Ubaldo Kismi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Florencio Ferran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doğan Alemdar was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 57th minute, Húsares's Florencio Ferran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The supporters of Húsares booed when Kayserispor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spartak Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florencio Ferran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doğan Alemdar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Doğan Alemdar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Ibon in the 69th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Teobaldo Ibon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Doğan Alemdar. Teobaldo Ibon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Teobaldo Ibon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Doğan Alemdar came out and tried to block the shot, but Teobaldo Ibon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 81st minute. After 86 played minutes Húsares got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Akif Ayana. Fabio Quintyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Bülent Akduman in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kayserispor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ubaldo Kismi was slow to take the kick. During this time Húsares's players had a chance to rest. Teobaldo Ibon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğan Alemdar having to interfere.
