The referee ignored Argentinos Juniors's protests and gave Saturnino Arixo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Saturnino Arixo got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Remie Martens managed to get in a good position for a shot. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven de Zwaan to strike the kick off in the second half. Despite this Gregory Skouten quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marciano Erauso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Aquilino Umbruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen Van Eede in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Petruț Fințescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gregory Skouten. Petruț Fințescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. 84 minutes into the game, Argentinos Juniors's Mats Falch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregory Skouten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. AFC Aquitana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Diego Gonzales scored to the left of an out of position Gregory Skouten, making the score, 2-5. Argentinos Juniors's Aquilino Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steffen Van Eede in the 92nd minute of play. Joachim Raeijmaeckers's late challenge caught a Argentinos Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
