The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Zuasnabar came free, but Aquilino Umbruso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Argentinos Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Deilmison Davids was slow to take the kick. During this time Gavião Kyikatejê's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Gavião Kyikatejê's corner Deilmison Davids fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aquilino Umbruso quite easily take care of the ball. Miguel Zuasnabar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aquilino Umbruso came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Zuasnabar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. The supporters of Gavião Kyikatejê booed when Argentinos Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Richie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Umbruso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 13th minute. Gavião Kyikatejê's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Deilmison Davids in the 14th minute. A nice corner shot did that Deilmison Davids got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aquilino Umbruso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Gavião Kyikatejê getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rodney Lindov hit a great ball. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Gonzales in the 18th minute of the match. Aquilino Umbruso was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Miguel Zuasnabar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Miguel Zuasnabar really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 23rd minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Aquilino Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Umbruso made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Miguel Zuasnabar sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Gavião Kyikatejê's Miguel Zuasnabar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aquilino Umbruso. Aquilino Umbruso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 33rd minute, Miguel Zuasnabar made a precise shot to the right of Aquilino Umbruso. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Miguel Zuasnabar might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquilino Umbruso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Zuasnabar ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 36th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Aquilino Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Zuasnabar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Aquilino Umbruso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Zuasnabar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Aquilino Umbruso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aquilino Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Zuasnabar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven de Zwaan was the one to do the kick off. When Gavião Kyikatejê's Miguel Zuasnabar in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argentinos Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. If Miguel Zuasnabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Zuasnabar in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Umbruso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 62nd minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Aquilino Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Zuasnabar came free, but Aquilino Umbruso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Zuasnabar scored 9-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquilino Umbruso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Gavião Kyikatejê's Miguel Zuasnabar in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Umbruso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Gavião Kyikatejê's Miguel Zuasnabar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 94th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Aquilino Umbruso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Gavião Kyikatejê got a corner. Argentinos Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Deilmison Davids ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mats Falch during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Argentinos Juniors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gavião Kyikatejê:s goal. Aquilino Umbruso went to the wrong direction when Deilmison Davids was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
