After 4 minutes, Caetano Saad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CE LAJEADENSE RS and the Pistolero Tricolor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fang Bing Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Bater Palma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fang Bing Lei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernandão Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavinho Reis having to make a save. 20 minutes into the game, Codrin Daimacă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pistolero Tricolor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. Fernandão Trigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavinho Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernandão Trigo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Fernandão Trigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavinho Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Codrin Daimacă was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pistolero Tricolor FC! Fang Bing Lei had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Zhuo Chao Chuan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 37 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Zhuo Chao Chuan made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fang Bing Lei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fang Bing Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bater Palma in the 39th minute of play. If Fernandão Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis got control of the ball when Fernandão Trigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fang Bing Lei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bater Palma's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The corner ended in Leo Iigo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pistolero Tricolor FC's Fang Bing Lei did a great save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandão Trigo to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernandão Trigo in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavinho Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pistolero Tricolor FC's Armando Bela was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Flavinho Reis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Leo Iigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Emil Fărcășan could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Fang Bing Lei however easily saved by the left post. In the 71st minute CE LAJEADENSE RS were awarded a corner. Emil Fărcășan went to the cornerflag to take it. Emil Fărcășan made a great header on CE LAJEADENSE RS's corner, it was just that Pistolero Tricolor FC's Fang Bing Lei managed to reach the ball for a save. 78 minutes into the match, Pistolero Tricolor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bater Palma came free, but Fang Bing Lei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bater Palma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fang Bing Lei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fang Bing Lei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flavinho Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandão Trigo in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Pistolero Tricolor FC booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Bitxintxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pistolero Tricolor FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Rui Madureira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Celsinho Castro got a free kick in the 97th minute. The CE LAJEADENSE RS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CE LAJEADENSE RS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
