One of RACING FBPA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of São José City - FSCMZ:s goal. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, São José City - FSCMZ's Genaro Aragones got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Duarte Carneiro. Duarte Carneiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benedito Paes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Duarte Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Aragones in the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Aragones in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Carneiro saved RACING FBPA from getting behind. George Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Campidelis in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Genaro Aragones made a precise shot to the right of Duarte Carneiro. RACING FBPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

São José City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Dagoberto Linares replaced Elias Rocha. São José City - FSCMZ's Cássio Rocha was substituted for Primo Mazzola. The wind increased when Jorginho Campidelis made the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Enzo Batistuta with Giuseppe Correia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rigoberto Vilaprenyo charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Vilaprenyo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 97 played minutes RACING FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Vilaprenyo. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. São José City - FSCMZ had played much better football throughout.
