Duarte Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RACING FBPA's Rigoberto Vilaprenyo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duarte Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Sócrates Silva sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Austra VFC made a substitution. Yaroslav Lyubar replaced Tomé Damião. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorginho Campidelis to make the kick off. When Sócrates Silva came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Austra VFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sócrates Silva couldn't finish the play. Duarte Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sócrates Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 minutes of play, Austra VFC's Sócrates Silva made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duarte Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Austra VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rigoberto Vilaprenyo. After 70 played minutes Austra VFC got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Dalman. After 78 played minutes RACING FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho de Souza. Wellington Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wellington Pires in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Wellington Pires put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Duarte Carneiro. After 92 minutes, Wellington Pires made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. RACING FBPA's Duarte Carneiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Duarte Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wellington Pires's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Austra VFC were the better team. Austra VFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
