Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eliseu Fonseca got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute Walmir Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes Saiko FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erik Sanches who took care of the corner kick. In the 7th minute, Benjamim Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Paulo Gaizkine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Gonçalves in the 12th minute of the match. Zé Sabóia came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Walmir Pombal. But to his dismay, Walmir Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Paulo Gaizkine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gabriel Bati managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saiko FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Bati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Gaizkine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Bati in the 32nd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Paulo Gaizkine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Saiko FC booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Saiko FC's Sixto Ondino tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Catugi FC's Paulo Gaizkine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Bati in the 36th minute of play. Paulo Gaizkine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Bati, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Alberto Soares to make the kick off. When Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares, in the 52nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. 54 minutes into the game, Mateus Catarinense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saiko FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catugi FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Saiko FC's Mateus Catarinense got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Eliseu Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 57 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime França. After 59 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Alvarenga. Carlos Alberto Soares scored 2-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Sabóia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Gaizkine made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Gabriel Bati sent off a good shot on target. After 71 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Alvarenga. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Paulo Gaizkine got control of the ball when Eliseu Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Alvarenga during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Walmir Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Evaristo de Souza got a free kick in the 86th minute. Catugi FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Saiko FC for a fine match.
