Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Jacaré in the 7th minute of play. Gustavo Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Miranda in the 15th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bas Tuitert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 19th minute of play forced Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramón Valadares got free with Arnout Reekers in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Ramón Valadares sent off a good shot on target. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ramón Valadares was slow to take the kick. During this time Xurupita FC's players had a chance to rest. Gustavo Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 42nd minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Jacaré made a kick off. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xurupita FC's Valer Muscaș was substituted for Rubinho Maia. With a little luck, Xurupita FC's Gustavo Coelho got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustavo Coelho made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th match minute, Xurupita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcisio Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Xurupita FC made a substitution. Lilian Vântu replaced Ramón Valadares. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gustavo Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gustavo Coelho firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 86th minute Célio Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Xurupita FC's Gustavo Coelho got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Coelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
