After 14 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe's Prospero Plaas managed to reach the ball for a save. Prospero Plaas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 19th minute of the match. Prospero Plaas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 21st minute of play. Prospero Plaas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Vilanova in the 36th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Márcio Vilanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe were furious when Nino Schätzle was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Prospero Plaas had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Gijsbert ter Kruimer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 47th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Steinecke in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Christian Dahlqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Plaas having to interfere. Prospero Plaas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Plaas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Prospero Plaas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 77th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Plaas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Prospero Plaas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. 87 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Prospero Plaas. Gustaaf Groeneveldt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Niclas Grotthaus's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niclas Grotthaus helped the player get up and apologised. Netherlands played a much better game than OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe and deserved their victory. The OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
