Thanks to some nice moves Edward Vanderstraeten could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Tiburcio Gaueko however easily saved by the left post. In the 79th minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. Tiburcio Gaueko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Aurelio Soin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurelio Soin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Aurelio Soin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Claes having to make a save.
