Emanuel Jago got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Albano Silvanito. The supporters of Abasto FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Bilintx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abasto FC's Efrain Guillelmo got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Pilkington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Sazon, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Teofilo Bizi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Leon Pilkington made a huge save. When Albano Silvanito fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Albano Silvanito a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Abasto FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Bilintx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albano Silvanito was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 47th minute of the match Norberto Camerino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alaaddin Uchiha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emiliano Buendia to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeronimo Cidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Leon Pilkington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Jago. Gabriel-Omar Batista struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Alaaddin Uchiha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abasto FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeronimo Cidro in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Pilkington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Lando kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, River Plate's Emilio Rico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Pilkington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Orlando Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Pilkington having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Abasto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Cidro came free, but Leon Pilkington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Pilkington having to interfere.
