In the 14th minute of the match, Tormaigh Cassin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ermegildo Delgado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ermegildo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filomeno Tormes to make the kick off. If Xurxo Lagunas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Policarpio Lama, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julen Castellano in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Tormaigh Cassin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ermegildo Delgado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute Policarpio Lama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rayo Bengala's Çağan Ros was substituted for Ekaitz Cabrera. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Policarpio Lama in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st minute, Nerio Etxeberria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Asturcones d´la Abadía defense, Policarpio Lama kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermegildo Delgado. The Asturcones d´la Abadía fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermegildo Delgado should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Rayo Bengala were the better team. Rayo Bengala's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
