After 16 minutes of play, Cometuétano's Zigor Barroso made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Delgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Argenis Coira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ermegildo Delgado. The goal made the score 2-0. After a rather tough play, Cometuétano's Vidal Vilanova got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Xurxo Lagunas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miks Lecis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Cometuétano's Miks Lecis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Tormes in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Argenis Coira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Cometuétano defense, Filomeno Tormes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miks Lecis. The Cometuétano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miks Lecis should have stopped the shot. Xurxo Lagunas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veremundo Lastras during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Asier Izquierdo's late challenge caught a Cometuétano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asier Izquierdo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cometuétano booed when Asturcones d´la Abadía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the referee ended the match the Cometuétano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
