After 2 played minutes Melandru de Cenero got a freekick which was hit by Xurdin Pena. Xurdin Pena took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ermegildo Delgado. Ermegildo Delgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Filomeno Tormes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andrea Perez, 1-1. With a little luck, Melandru de Cenero's Andrea Perez got control of the ball when Filomeno Tormes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filomeno Tormes got free with Andrea Perez in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ermegildo Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xurdin Pena in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xurdin Pena in the 17th minute of play forced Asturcones d´la Abadía's goalkeeper Ermegildo Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Melandru de Cenero's goal looked a bit too open when Xurxo Lagunas came free, but Andrea Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Asturcones d´la Abadía's goal looked a bit too open when Everett Gerber came free, but Ermegildo Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everett Gerber in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everett Gerber in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Delgado saved Asturcones d´la Abadía from getting behind. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xurdin Pena in the 24th minute of play. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Xurdin Pena sped through Asturcones d´la Abadía's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ermegildo Delgado. 30 minutes into the match, Melandru de Cenero's Xurdin Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ermegildo Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Melandru de Cenero were awarded a corner. Xurdin Pena went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Xurdin Pena almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado did a great save. Xurdin Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ermegildo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everett Gerber struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ermegildo Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melandru de Cenero. In the 41st minute Nunez Urtzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Everett Gerber put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ermegildo Delgado. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xurdin Pena made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Asturcones d´la Abadía's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Urtzi came free, but Ermegildo Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Filomeno Tormes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the game, one of Asturcones d´la Abadía:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Asturcones d´la Abadía:s Ermegildo Delgado showed great skill when he stopped Xurdin Pena:s penalty. In the 61st minute, David Valverde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xurdin Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Asturcones d´la Abadía booed when Melandru de Cenero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Palencia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Melandru de Cenero's goal looked a bit too open when Asier Izquierdo came free, but Andrea Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Esteban hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Melandru de Cenero's Xurdin Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrea Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Tormes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xurdin Pena got free with Ermegildo Delgado in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xurdin Pena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Ermegildo Delgado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado got control of the ball when Xurdin Pena tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Melandru de Cenero getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Alain Palencia hit a great ball. If Calisto Durango had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermegildo Delgado made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Joachim Incera sent off a good shot on target. The Melandru de Cenero supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Melandru de Cenero would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
