Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Saga TF's Erik Cantona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Truls Landsem recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Truls Landsem showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ola Nordhagen kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joachim Forseth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 28th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saga TF's Joachim Forseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 29th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Saga TF's Joachim Forseth managed to reach the ball for a save. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joachim Forseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of the match. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 41st minute of play. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 42nd minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 1-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joachim Forseth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 47th minute of play forced Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 52nd minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joachim Forseth was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erik Cantona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute, Jedrzej Chrzan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joachim Forseth but with some difficulty. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Truls Landsem kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 67th minute of play. Kees Mooiweer hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Joachim Forseth came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Kees Mooiweer made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lars Meesters. In the 90th minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Saga TF booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball.
