Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Vanderstraeten started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Atlético Municipal's Casper Claes threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oscar De León, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 5 minutes into the game, Willie Colon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willie Colon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Municipal were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claude Sena took the corner. The corner led Atlético Municipal's Claude Sena to fire away a dangerous shot which Casper Claes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Chuan Cintron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 18th minute of the match. Willie Colon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie Colon, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Aristides Caldas got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Azubeli Roman. Chuan Cintron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 35th minute of the match. Oscar De León blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Claes having to make a save. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Claude Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute Nuno Galve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Atlético Municipal's Cordero Gipils was substituted for Azubeli Roman. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willie Colon to make the kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Municipal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Sander Dermaut at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Atlético Municipal. 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Aristides Caldas in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Belgium's Lenny Clocheret. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar De León in the 57th minute of the match. Claude Sena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Atlético Municipal got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claude Sena ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Atlético Municipal's corner Claude Sena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 70th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chuan Cintron was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Chuan Cintron made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chuan Cintron. That made the score 1-3 in the 91 minute of play. Atlético Municipal's Henry Fiola was substituted for Willie Colon.
