The LUSINHA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With his leg Alexander Higgins managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when LUSINHA's Edgar Sena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Norberto das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert McNeill, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 27 minutes of play, Scotland's Fletcher Main made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norberto das Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kian MacGregor's late challenge caught a LUSINHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. LUSINHA's Norberto das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashton Nelson in the 38th minute of play. The goalkeeper, Alexander Higgins, was totally fooled by LUSINHA's Adelino Borges, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some careless play in the Scotland defense, Edgar Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Higgins. The Scotland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Higgins should have stopped the shot.
