Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Hüsnü Kapar sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Maccarone came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Maccarone in the 10th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Maccarone in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Viriato Moura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Adriano Pappalardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Concetto Maccarone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Concetto Maccarone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Soliera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciro Donati in the 20th minute. The corner ended in Ciro Donati almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim did a great save. Concetto Maccarone succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 23rd playminute. Peker Ersed in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilson Amorim, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 30th minute of the game Peker Ersed made a throw-in which Dario Strazzabosco played forward. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Maccarone, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Concetto Maccarone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adriano Pappalardo was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 46th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Donati could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save.

The wind increased when Concetto Maccarone made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Soliera's goalkeeper Adriano Pappalardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caetano Moreira. Soliera's Adriano Pappalardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Soliera from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 61st minute of play forced Soliera's goalkeeper Adriano Pappalardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Soliera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Faustino Almeida was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peker Ersed in the 65th minute of play. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Soliera's Enrico Grieco was substituted for Hüsnü Kapar. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. In the 71st minute, Enrico Grieco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Adriano Pappalardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Pappalardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipinho Amorim went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Soliera's Adriano Pappalardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Soliera from getting a goal against them. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adriano Pappalardo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Soliera's zone, Bartolomeu Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Pappalardo came out of the goal and Bartolomeu Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Bartolomeu Dias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano Pappalardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Bartolomeu Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Grieco in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Portugal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
