Bernt Sjöberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovakia. When Metod Mlynar came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Slovakia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Metod Mlynar couldn't finish the play. Henrich Slany stood somewhat misplaced when Magnus Grelsson came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. In the 22nd minute, Joakim Hedlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrich Slany was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Göta FC booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Havel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrich Slany came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Göta FC's Magnus Grelsson. But to his dismay, Magnus Grelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Joakim Hedlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Slovakia's Henrich Slany proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Slovakia from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rutger Lindell. Göta FC's Bernt Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metod Mlynar in the 44th minute of play. Metod Mlynar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bernt Sjöberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Metod Mlynar to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrich Slany stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magnus Grelsson's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Göta FC got a freekick which was hit by Alf Dahlman. In the 54th minute of the match Pavol Koleno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernt Sjöberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 55 minutes in the game Kristoffer Benet did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joakim Hedlund. When Vavrinec Koleno fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slovakia's protests and gave Vavrinec Koleno a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Vavrinec Koleno got a free kick in the 60th minute. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Hedlund in the 63rd minute of play. Rutger Lindell kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Kornel Jahoda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match Algot Beckström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrich Slany skillfully saved the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Magnus Grelsson notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Slovakia's Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute Joakim Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Holub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernt Sjöberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Oliver Holub got a free kick in the 86th minute. Göta FC's Rutger Lindell got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristoffer Benet got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joakim Hedlund. In the 92nd match minute, Göta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rutger Lindell to maneuver through the defense. Göta FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Slovakia for a fine match.
