With a little luck, Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves got control of the ball when Xalvador Pendones tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's William Angelsø sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Cañizares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute Izaltina FAD were awarded a corner. Benito Lain went to the cornerflag to take it. 12 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Tande came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Well-Well Waack in the 14th minute of the match. Xalvador Pendones's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Manuel Alves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Izaltina FAD's Well-Well Waack in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joga Leve's late challenge caught a Izaltina FAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joga Leve helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Joga Leve hit a great ball. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35thth minute of the game Xalvador Pendones who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Matías Mendes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Santiago Cañizares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xalvador Pendones in the 51st minute of play. When Nueva Chicago's Xalvador Pendones in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. William Angelsø showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 84 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Sugar came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Xalvador Pendones came free, but Manuel Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Nueva Chicago's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Laerte Tande fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Chicago's zone, William Angelsø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Cañizares came out of the goal and William Angelsø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
